series A is a reading series dedicated to showcasing experimental writing in the U.S., and specifically experimental writing in the Midwest. The series invites a variety of writers to read and discuss their works. In addition, the series also provides a home for performances of mixed media work, for any works that combine the language arts with other art forms. From its home space in the Hyde Park Art Center, series A focuses on the connection between various art forms with the language arts and provides a space to display/perform the experimental in any incarnation of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, or drama. It was founded by William Allegrezza and is currently curated by Francesco Levato.
